Baby Searls Update!

Jon and I went to our first Ultrasound.

Baby weights 1lb. 1oz. and seems to healthy.  We will find out more info when we see our doctor in a few weeks.  Until then, enjoy the cute pictures.

A little Announcement!

If you did not already know, Jon and I are expecting a 3rd member of our family in February!

We have decided to not find out what sex the baby is,  We want to be surprised!!

It is an exciting time and we are busy trying to prepare the house and sell Jons house.

Weekend Fun!

Its Monday again!  Its hard to go back to the weekday grind after such a beautiful weekend.  It was sunny and just the right temperature for being outside.  

This weekend we had a wedding to attend, one of Jon's high school buddies got married on Friday evening.

On Saturday, I had a Junior League event down at the Discovery shop. We took free pictures with Easter bunny for anyone that wanted one.

Also, on Saturday Jon and I had dinner with our friend Alison and then Alison and I took a stroll around downtown looking at the shops and then caught a movie.  

Sunday was a perfect day!  Church, lunch with family and friends, spring cleaning the Kitchen, planning the garden out at my parents house, BBQ, and sitting outside enjoying the day.  Jon is very excited to plant a garden.  It will be a 30 x 30 plot out at my parents house and I think he is most excited for the sweet potatoes he will be planting.

The dogs enjoyed the nice day by spending it outside as much as possible, its nice to leave the backdoor open and they can come and go as they please.


I will try to get more pictures for you this week.  I am not good at taking pictures, so hopefully this blog will force me to take more.

Hello!

My name is Alexandria and I have started this blog to keep track of the Searls family happenings.   I am new to blogging and hope to learn and grow in my writing.  To start, a little about the family.

Jon is my husband and we were married on October 12, 2013.  It was a beautiful fall day, perfect for a wedding.  The pictures above are obviously from that day.  

Jon and I live in Iowa and love living here.  Jon loves to hunt, fish and metal detect.  It keeps him busy.  I like to Volunteer, hang out with friends, be involved in church, and travel.   

Right now our family is just the two of us.  In the near future we hope to add to that number, we just do not know when that will happen.  I suppose it will happen when God wants it to happen.

I hope this gave you a little insight into who we are and I look forward to hearing from you.
