6 Months

D is 6 months!

Where did the time go?  It has been a busy but  good month.

D weighs in at 20lbs. 1oz. and is 28.5 in. long.  That is 90th and the 99th percentile.

D wants to go all the time, this doesn't work so well since he can't sit up on his own.  He is almost there.  Once he is up there will be no stopping him.  He is a very happy baby, he loves when we sing and when we say ahh-choo. 

Uncle Mike painted my living room and dining room.  They look great!

I had Vacation Bible school at church for a week, so D and Jon had some good Daddy Son time.

D went to his first county fair, the Plymouth county fair.

For National Night Out we went to a local park and had dinner.  D swung for the first time.

A few other things that happened this month:

• The Junior League had a pool party for families.

• My Aunt Carrie and Uncle Mike where here with their granddaughter S!  Earlier this year S sent us her Flat S and my mom, D, my sister, and I took it around to all the sights, so we took the real S to all the places her flat self went.  We had a great time.

• We had family pictures taken.

5 Months

D is 5 months old!!

This month he weighs in at 18 lbs. 6 oz. and is 26 in. long.

Oh no I fell down.

It was so nice outside we had to go out and look at all the cool outdoor things, like trees and grass.  D loves to go outside.

 My life is so hard, I need to rest.

He rolled over for the first time!  Not much longer and he will be crawling all over the place.

D went swimming again, he is really loving it.  He really likes to kick, it is too cute.  An unforeseen consequence of this is that D now kicks like mad in the bath.

Jon and I had our shower redone this month.  It was interesting trying to shower at my parents house.
I tried to find before pictures but I did not take any.

We had a JL BBQ this month and D did great!  He loved all the attention and watching the other little kids, so much so he could not stay awake any longer.

I also made these awesome centerpieces.

 A few other things that happened this month:

• BBQ at a friends house
• Cousins coming into town with their kids.
• Aunt and Uncle coming to visit on vacation.
